ABOUT ME

I was born and raised in Dayton, Ohio and started taking acting classes at a very young age. When I was six, my teacher informed me that I would never play "Cinderella", but that I would be perfect for the meaty character role of "Caterpillar". My early years were spent performing in musicals, including playing "Molly" and "Tessie" in two productions of Annie, "Brigitta" in The Sound of Music, and a "Snow Child" in Carousel. History has a way of repeating itself. My first show was South Pacific when I was seven, and I have performed in the show three times - first as one of the children, then as a nurse, and most recently as "Bloody Mary".

Over the years, I have developed a love for performing in new plays and have appeared in the new works festival, FutureFest, for fifteen years. After obtaining a BFA in Acting from Wright State University, I lived in New York for over four years, where I performed with companies including Ensemble Studio Theatre, Wings Theatre, and Urban Stages. For three years, I lived in Chicago and performed with Chicago Dramatists, American Blues Theater, Broken Nose Theatre, and Griffin Theatre (Tour). In addition to appearing in premieres of plays in New York and Chicago, I have had the opportunity to perform in the Midwest premiere of The Kite Runner at Actors Theatre of Louisville and Cleveland Play House, the world premieres of Deadline and Family Shots with The Human Race Theatre Company, and the regional premiere of The K of D with Magnolia Theatre Company.

During the pandemic, I began focusing on directing more and taught myself video editing to create virtual theatre.  I am a proud member of Actors' Equity Association and a Stage Directors and Choreographers Society Associate Member.
